Working by her side is our on-site pediatric dental hygienist and team of expanded dental assistants. This ensures all patients receive the highest quality care by certified and licensed professionals at every appointment, from start to finish.

Approach to care

Have a timid kid who’s more interested in having their nails painted than opening wide and saying “Ahhh”? We can work with that. Or maybe your teen is ready to exert their independence without mom or dad around? Not a problem. We design visits around your needs, whatever they are, and provide care that is child-centric, sensory-sensitive, and behavior-based:

Child-Centric

Through our extensive training, Dr. Juntgen will make each visit fun, informative, and positive for your child. She also uses smaller tools designed for children’s mouths, which makes visits more comfortable.

Sensory-Sensitive

Dental trauma, general anxiety, and overstimulation are common among pediatric dental patients. Dr. Juntgen uses her training to be aware of and accommodate each child’s sensory needs.

Behavior-Based

Dr. Juntgen demonstrates and rewards every child’s positive behavior during visits and treatments. This includes positive reinforcement, fun distractions, and the “Tell-Show-Do” technique.

Office amenities

Amenities

There’s more to our office than just small chairs and cute wallpaper—though the wallpaper is pretty amazing. There’s also a kids’ corner, TVs, and other family-friendly amenities to make visits more comfortable.

Our staff knows children of all ages thrive in nurturing environments that make them feel safe and at home, so we’ll do whatever it takes to help even the most nervous child to feel as relaxed as possible during their visit. Schedule an appointment and come see the difference in person.

Giving back is our privilege

Support for local children and families

The place you call home is our home, too. Dr. Juntgen resides less than five minutes from our pediatric dentist office, and the rest of the Hamilton County Pediatric Dentistry team also lives nearby. Everyone on our staff believes every child in our community deserves a healthy smile and access to high-quality kids’ dental services.

Since 2014, our devoted team has provided free preventative dental screenings and restorative treatments to underserved children across the greater Indianapolis region through the American Dental Association’s “Give Kids A Smile” program. We also work with Westfield’s Heart and Soul Clinic to provide free Head Start Screenings and discounted restorative care.

Additional outreach initiatives

Our pediatric dentist office staff prioritizes giving back all year long. We donate to food pantries on Thanksgiving, assist local families in need at Christmas, and even sponsor local sports teams, bands, scouting groups, and high school students participating in annual dance marathons for Riley Children’s Hospital.

We also serve our community by:

  • Providing free oral health education at various community events and fairs
  • Making presentations to kindergarten classes at local elementary schools
  • Promoting autism awareness and supporting local applied behavioral centers
  • Raising the profile of healthcare causes affecting families, like breast cancer research, mental health, and opioid abuse
